Sweet Gift of Hope
Two new NUCs of Russians should arrive in April.
My yard has been so sad and quiet since I lost my last ones to robbers.
Even so-
I am having a hard time comprehending the blessings
that have come to me since I have started keeping bees.
People have been giving me honey left and right, and little bee themed gifts.
Pollen and three kinds of honey from Quintana roo, the yucatan arrived this past month.
But the most wonderful of all gifts arrived this past weekend.
The best gift of all, to an empty home, a new queen!!! - and
the most beautiful honeybees that I have ever seen !!!
I asked a young man and future entomologist what I should name them..
since " Love" and "Grace" were already reserved for my ordered Russian NUCs...
"Hope " he replied.
How astute and appropriate.
They are indeed a sweet "Gift of Hope".
and they are the most beautiful sweet Italian Bees that I have ever seen...so
Welcome "Sweet Hope"
or "Dolce Speranza"
We hope that you will be happy and content in your new home..
I will do everything that I can to keep you happy and healthy.
I have placed her facing East and in the comfort and company of
the gardenias, the yupon, the wisteria and the pines...
Photos to follow shortly.
